I am a Senior Data Analyst (and soon Head of Data) at the Intermate Media GmbH, one of the largest and most impactful social media agencies in Europe. Previously, I was an Assistant Professor (with tenure track) at the University of Tübingen. Before coming back to Germany, I was a distinguished postdoctoral scholar at UC Irvine and my Ph.D. in Learning Technologies from the University of Michigan received the Robert Schuck Distinguished Dissertation Award. At college, I studied Physics, Mathematics, and Education at the Ruhr University Bochum, the ETH Zurich, and UC Berkeley.
Interests
My work is guided by the mission to leverage big data analytics to empower digital transformations. At Intermate, I utilize data-driven approaches to bolster both creative and strategic directions in producing high-quality deliverables across the entire social media value chain. In academia, I facilitated digital change processes in higher education, teacher education, and STEM education, as described on my research site.
Research Funding
Together with my colleagues, we won more than $8M in research funding. In addition, I was affiliated with multiple large, interdisciplinary research projects amounting to more than $6M additional funding.
